Before School and After School Care
A breakfast Club is available for pupils from 8am till 8.50am every day. The cost is £1.50 and this includes a breakfast consisting of cereal and a drink. Parents bring their children to the main entrance of the school to sign them in, then the children make their own way down to the hall, where the club takes place.
Early Bird Club
Our Early Bird Club runs from 8.30am until 8.50am, when the school day begins, and it is free of charge. The original idea behind the introduction of the club was to ease parking and improve the safety of the children arriving at school by giving parents the opportunity to drop their children off between 8.30am and 8.50am rather than all arriving just before 8.50am and being unable to park. The Early Bird Club also provides an opportunity for the children to socialise with their friends before the school day begins. It has become increasingly popular – especially in the summer months when the children get to play outside!
Opportunities for play are provided at both clubs but there are no organised activities. (See below for some photos)
When the bell rings at 8.50am, to signify the start of the school day, the children attending Breakfast Club or Early Bird Club go to line up at their usual class places. Pupils from the Reception class will be taken to line up in the appropriate place until they feel confident to do this without adult support.
After School Care
We do not have After School Care facilities within school but Hambrook Hedgehogs, situated in the school annex, provide this for our pupils.
Hambrook Hedgehogs is a pre-school during the day and an After School Club from the end of the school day until 6pm.
